Rethinking Voxels
This shader is a modified version of Complementary Reimagined that combines decent performance (especially compared to path tracing shaders) with the unique feature of sharp shadows from torches and other light sources.
Operation Features
The lighting system has certain limitations. Occasional sharp brightness changes are related to the rendering algorithm's specifics and cannot be completely eliminated without significant performance degradation or disabling the sharp shadow system. To disable shadows from point light sources, simply deactivate the "Per-Pixel Lighting" option in the shader settings.
Compatibility and Requirements
Development is conducted on Iris using AMD graphics cards on Linux with additional testing on NVIDIA. Since primary testing is performed on the mentioned platforms, errors occurring on other systems might be fixed with some delay. The Iris loader is required to use the shaderpack. Earlier versions, including Beta 18d, are also compatible with OptiFine.
