This modification ports the functionality of AE2 Things to the current Fabric 1.20.1 version, as the original Fabric version is no longer updated.

DISK - Ultra-Capacity Storage Drives

The main innovation is the unique DISK storage cells that fundamentally change the approach to organizing warehouse systems in Applied Energistics 2. These advanced storage devices offer impressive capacity progression: from 1k to 4k, 16k, 64k, and massive 256k items.

The key breakthrough feature of DISK is the complete absence of item type limitations! Each item occupies only 1 byte, making the system incredibly efficient. An additional nuance: due to cell format features, 24 bytes are lost per kibibyte, but this is a small price to pay for freedom from type restrictions.

The technology requires substantial investment - during creation, rare materials including netherite are used, which explains the higher cost compared to regular cells.
