Aetherworks Refracted
Aetherworks Refracted is an addon for Embers Rekindled that introduces a unique material called aetherium and powerful end-game tools crafted from it. Explore the world in search of ancient meteorites and utilize a massive multiblock forge to create amazing items.
Main Features
This Minecraft 1.20.1 version has undergone significant changes compared to the original. Most of the code has been completely rewritten, the aetherium processing system has been altered, the method of obtaining aetherium shards has changed, many textures have been updated, and even the functionality of some tools has been modified. Old reviews of the original Aetherworks version no longer reflect the current state of the mod.
Key Changes in the Port:
- Numerous numerical adjustments and addition of configuration options
- Removal or reworking of most tooltips
- Fixed block models in inventory
- Moonlight Harvester structure no longer requires Control Matrices to function - each added matrix now increases aetherium production
- Completely reworked aetherium purification process
- Added Aetherium Aspectus required for alchemical operations with aetherium
- Implemented Tool Forge as the final stage of creating aetherium tools
New Mechanics and Effects
The "Moongaze" effect deals slow void damage over time. It is applied by aetherium weapons and when touching liquid aetherium, and can also be placed in a vessel gem!
Reworked Tools
- Pickaxe of the Molten Depths now mines blocks in a strip pattern and places glimmers while working
- Axe of the Ancient Torrents transformed into Axe of the Sonorous Archives with sculk theme, capable of mass harvesting leaves and instantly growing saplings from inventory
- Shovel of the Perfect Machines became Shovel of the Timeless Cascades in prismarine style, able to manipulate fluids
- Crossbow of the Impending Doom reworked into Crossbow of the Stars Befall, specializing in single-target damage
- Crossbow of the Raging Volcano became Crossbow of the Shattered Reflection for effective crowd control
Other Improvements
- Added Tuning Cylinder and Aetheric Tuning augment allowing any tool to drop geodes
- Aetherium Crown received 3D model with colored gems and three application modes
- Vessel gems now compatible with any potions
- Aetherium ore replaced with ancient meteorites featuring characteristic craters
- Added new building blocks: suevite and its variations
To find meteorites, create an Aetheriometer or look for characteristic circular craters on the world surface!
