Age of Steam

Age of Steam is a technological mod that offers a fresh perspective on automation in Minecraft. Instead of traditional wires and RF/FE electrical systems, everything here is built on mechanical energy transfer through a physically accurate system.

The mod serves as the foundation for a large-scale project, including an advanced real-time physics engine. It calculates acceleration in the power network and mechanical stress on individual components. When the load exceeds permissible limits, parts can break - this adds realism to the technical process.

Among the basic elements of mechanical energy transmission:

• Motor and generator for converting electricity into mechanical energy
• Hand generator
• Wooden axles
• Linear gearbox with 4:9 gear ratio
• T-junction gearbox with 1:1 ratio
• Distribution gearbox on 4 sides with 1:1 transmission

• Small and large crankshafts
