Warning: For Minecraft versions 1.19.2 and older, Akashic Tome requires AutoRegLib!
Akashic Tome is an addon that works in conjunction with Morph-o-Tool. The only item it adds is the Akashic Tome itself, crafted from a regular book and a bookshelf.
The main concept of the mod is solving the inventory clutter problem in large modpacks where each mod adds its own documentation. Instead of carrying dozens of books, you can store them all in one slot and switch between them as needed.
Key Features
- Universal Storage: Akashic Tome can contain documentation books from any other mods
- Easy Addition: To add a book to the tome, simply combine them on a crafting table. You can add unlimited books, including duplicates
- Full Compatibility: You get the actual item from the mod, not a copy or container. This guarantees 100% compatibility with all functions of the original item
- Technical Implementation: The item receives additional NBT data so the game knows how to transform it back
How to Use
- Transformation: Right-click to open the menu and select the desired book from the list
- Smart Transformation: Crouch and right-click on a block from a mod to automatically transform the tome into the corresponding documentation (if available in the tome). With multiple books from one mod, the first added will be selected
- Return to Base: Punch the air to return the tome to its original state
- Book Removal: Transform the tome into the book you want to remove, then crouch and press the drop item key
Configuration
The mod's configuration file includes:
- Option to allow attachment of any items (disabled by default)
- Blacklist for mods whose items cannot be attached
- Whitelist for item names that can be attached (e.g.: book, tome, lexicon)
- Whitelist for specific items that don't meet the previous criteria
- Alias system for redirecting between mods. For example, RFTools Dimensions can use Smart Wrench from main RFTools, and Thermal Dynamics can use items from Thermal Expansion
