akkamaddi's Simple Tungsten
Mod Overview
This modification is an adaptation for Minecraft versions 1.14.4 and newer of the Sterling and Black module from akkamaddi's Additions, originally created for version 1.7.10. Initial development was handled by akkamaddi, but the project was later abandoned, after which I took over its maintenance and further development.
Compatibility Requirements
For Simple Tungsten to work in Minecraft 1.14.4-1.16.1, the SimpleOres and Fusion mods are required.
In Minecraft 1.16.3 and later versions, SimpleCoreLib and Fusion are required, as well as optionally SimpleOres (or another mod that adds adamantium ingots).
Tungsten and Alloy Features
Tungsten is an extremely dense metal with characteristics similar to adamantium. Due to its exceptional hardness, this material is difficult to process for creating quality tools. Although the durability of tungsten tools exceeds adamantium tools, their functionality is inferior even to iron counterparts. The main value of tungsten is revealed when creating special alloys.
Resource Mining
Tungsten ore can only be mined with a level 2 pickaxe (iron, bronze) or higher. Deposits of this valuable mineral are found exclusively at great depths, approximately at the same levels where diamonds generate.
Ceramic Alloys
Tungsten Carbide - a ceramic material based on tungsten. Its strength slightly exceeds pure tungsten, but it is easier to process for creating sharp edges. Creation requires combining tungsten with baked bricks using bone meal, coal/charcoal, or gunpowder (small/medium/large portions). A full set of tungsten carbide armor protects the wearer from falling blocks and anvils, and prevents damage from being buried.
Valfram - a powerful ceramic alloy based on netherrack. Created by combining tungsten with a baked netherrack brick using gunpowder, glowstone, or a lava bucket. This material has natural heat resistance. A full set of Valfram armor completely neutralizes damage from fire and lava.
Metallic Alloys
Tungsten Steel - an alloy of tungsten and iron using tin as a catalyst (large portions only). Comparable in characteristics to diamond, although the mining level remains second.
Prasinos - a green alloy created by combining tungsten with adamantium using glowstone dust, magma cream, or blaze powder. Possesses exceptionally high durability, and tools have an increased resource mining level.
