Alchemical Curios

This mod requires Curios to function.

This modification significantly expands the magical aspect of Minecraft by adding new materials that can be obtained through mining or created through alloying, as well as unique accessories and tools crafted through smithing or crafting. The game introduces a new biome called the Petrified Forest and three new potions.

Materials

Silver - obtained by breaking silt in riverbeds, can be forged with an iron sword to get a silver sword.

Ancient Metal - created from four ancient coins, which are also found in silt. When forged with a silver sword, it increases its durability and damage.

Rubies - found throughout the world, used to create iron-level tools and armor.

Hardened Stones - found at increasing depths or created by compacting nine units of the previous tier. These stones can eventually condense enough to create powerful items:

1. Hard Stone - crafted from nine cobblestones or frequently found above deepslate level
2. Condensed Stone - created from nine hard stones
3. Super Condensed Stone - same principle
4. Bedrock - can be used to create armor providing high protection but significantly slowing movement
5. ???? - you'll find out
6. Combining #5 with four diamond blocks and four blocks of ancient metal

Alloys

Alloys are created using an alchemy catalyst (one gold, one ancient coin, one flower) and the metals you want to alloy. Many of them add interesting effects when wearing armor made from them.

• Enderiron - iron + two ender pearls
• Rose Gold - copper + gold
• Electrum - silver + gold
• Echogem - diamond + echo shard
• Firesteel - two iron + coal + lava
• Sea Ruby - prismarine + ruby
• Pristine Diamond - three diamonds + prismarine shard + life essence

Accessories

• Ruby Amulet - glowing
• Diamond Amulet - resistance
• Emerald Amulet - regeneration
• Silver Ring - no effect
• Gold Ring - makes piglins neutral
• Enderiron Ring - makes endermen neutral
• Rose Gold Ring - makes piglins neutral, haste
• Electrum Ring - luck
• Makeshift Belt - no effect
• Shulker Belt - press X for levitation
• Trader Belt - discounts on trades
• Electrum Crown - ????
• Courage Medallion - ????

Shulker Pads

Shulker pads are created by placing one shulker shell in the crafting table, yielding two. They can be crafted with leather armor or a makeshift belt for upgrade.

Capsules

You can create an iron capsule that can be accessed by right-clicking and holds 128 units of one item.

It can be upgraded to a shulker capsule with a row of storage. This can be further upgraded with netherite to hold up to 128 units of each item.

Essences

Life Essence can be used to bring things to life:

• Carved pumpkin, feather, mysterious ingot, egg, raw meat, seed, bone meal, sapling, crop

Death Essence:

• Two dead corals, two bones, two rotten flesh, a dead bush, a wither skeleton skull, some dirt

Fire Essence:

• Magma cream, gunpowder, blaze powder, two blaze rods, fire charge, lava bucket, obsidian, flint and steel

Water Essence:

• Water bucket, sponge, sea pickle, nautilus shell, heart of the sea, two prismarine crystals and two prismarine shards

Earth Essence:

• Any wool, red mushroom block, raw iron, sapling, dirt, bamboo block, log, oak leaves, cactus

Conjuring

A conjuring table can be created similarly to an enchanting table, but with emeralds instead of diamonds, dark prismarine instead of obsidian, and a bottle o'enchanting instead of a book.

You can combine two essences on a conjuring table, creating the mob that best fits those two. For example, earth + fire = magma cube. There are several new mobs to fill combinations like earth + water.

It's not recommended to try combining opposing essences.
