Alternative World Save Location (Legacy Fabric)
This useful mod provides the ability to choose an alternative location for storing Minecraft world saves. It's especially convenient when working with multiple mods or different game versions located in separate folders - you can easily lose track of your data.
When switching to another computer or reinstalling the system, important saves are often forgotten to be copied. This modification allows storing all worlds in one convenient location, for example, in a folder with automatic synchronization in cloud storage.
Modularly works initially with already installed Collective (Fabric) and Fabric API libraries on your system when launching the lightweight Fabric module.
How it works?
By default, the mod doesn't manifest itself in any way - it can be safely installed and left unchanged. To activate it, you need to go to the configuration file and perform a simple setup:
- Enable the
changeDefaultWorldSaveLocationoption - Specify the desired folder path in the
defaultMinecraftWorldSaveLocationfield

Available configuration options
Main settings:
changeDefaultWorldSaveLocation(default = false) - disabled to avoid conflicts with other mods. When enabled, sets a new world storage locationdefaultMinecraftWorldSaveLocation(default = "%instance_folder%/saves") - path to the saves folder. Use either double backslash (\) or single forward slash (/) as separators
Backup optional settings:
- Possibility to locate backups in separate folders directly without advanced save location functionality
Quick access through flexible distinctive save or recursive swarm transfer without neglecting major simplifications.
