AniSkin

With this mod, you can use animated skins stored either on your computer or on remote servers or any image hosting services.

Local storage is suitable for single-player games, while remote storage is ideal for sharing with friends. Simply specify the URLs of all skins in the mod settings. Both local paths (file:///) and web links (http:// or https://) are supported. If you use free hosting services where the URL does not contain direct file names, you can configure aliases that match your nickname with the file code.

Requirements

The mod requires ASJCore to function.

Usage Examples

Example of an animated skin — lava man.

Local Storage Setup

Create a folder, for example, C:\Minecraft\skins\, and place all your skins there. File names must match player nicknames (e.g., AlexSocol.png). Then specify the path to this folder, starting with the prefix file:\, followed by the folder path and a placeholder for the nickname, ending with the .png extension. The final path: file:\C:\Minecraft\skins\%s.png.

Remote Storage Setup

Similar to local storage, but instead of file:\, use http:\ or https:\, then add the rest of the URL, the placeholder, and the file extension. Example: https:\my.skinhost.org\skins\%s.png.

For public hosting services like Google Drive, where the URL does not contain file names, you can set up aliases that match nicknames with codes from the URL: AlexSocol:AbCdEfGhIjKlMnOp... The host configuration will look like this: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/%s.

Image Requirements

Images must be in .png format. The size is unlimited (depends on your graphics card), but the width of each frame must be twice its height. The default size is 64x32. The number of frames is also unlimited.
