Antica
Antica is a modification created by developer under the pseudonym Hex that significantly enriches the Minecraft world with new building materials, architectural structures, and audio content.
Marble Architecture
Deep within the world, you can now discover rough marble - a natural material formed exclusively between height levels from 0 to 64. Unlike granite or andesite, it cannot be found in high mountain regions.
Marble Processing
Rough marble serves as the basis for creating various decorative elements. Using a grindstone or standard crafting table, it can be transformed into polished marble. This enhanced material opens up possibilities for:
- Creating marble columns by vertically placing two polished blocks
- Manufacturing carved marble by arranging four polished blocks in a square pattern
- Obtaining ornate marble by combining a central polished block with gold ingots at the corners of the crafting grid
Functional Elements
Marble lantern is created from randomly arranged ingredients: golden ingot, regular lantern, and polished marble. This light source possesses the same brightness as glowstone.
To give an ancient look to building structures, you can create mossy marble by combining rough marble with vines.
Gold Block Enhancements
The modification expands the possibilities of using gold blocks, offering two new variations:
- Gold pillar is formed by vertically placing two gold blocks
- Ornate gold block is created by arranging four standard gold blocks in a square pattern
Note: In the current version, the gold pillar crafting recipe yields 4 units instead of the intended 2, which will be fixed in the next update.
New Architectural Structures
Unique structures appear in the world, showcasing the capabilities of new materials. Marble Plaza is one such building, inside which you can find the "Respite" music disc with a duration of only 17 seconds. This audio track can be extracted from the jukebox located in the center of the architectural composition.
