ArborFirmaCraft
Introduction
The ArborFirmaCraft modification was created to solve two main issues I noticed in TerraFirmaCraft. First, despite the large number of added wood types, many classic vanilla wood colors remained unavailable. Second, out of the nineteen tree species presented in the modification, most are found only in temperate climates—approximately five of them cannot be found in natural conditions in the United States. Interestingly, these problems naturally complement each other.
Version 1.20 Features
Biome-Based Forests
The system includes three forest types: "Swamp", "Normal", and "Alpine". Each tree species is tied to a specific forest type, creating more realistic vegetation distribution.
Flowering Trees
During spring, some tree species become covered with flowers:
- Yellow Ipe
- Flame of the Forest
- Red Silk Cotton
- Giant Rosewood
Resource Gathering
Added the ability to extract sap and rubber through tree tapping—a realistic mechanism for obtaining valuable natural materials.
Ancient Trees
The world generates special old-growth trees of larger size. They consist of special log variants that yield less wood when chopped, helping to maintain game balance.
Species and Type System
In ArborFirmaCraft, multiple tree species can belong to the same wood type. For example, there are four pine species—Boreal Pine, Stone Pine, Red Pine, and Tamarack. Each species has unique crown shape, leaves, and saplings, but all yield pine logs.
New Wood Types
The mod adds 10 new wood types represented by 22 tree species:
Eucalyptus (color matches vanilla birch)
- Blue Gum
- Mountain Ash
- Rainbow Eucalyptus
Mahogany (in version 1.18 matches mangrove wood, in 1.20 becomes more purplish)
- Small Leaf Mahogany
- Big Leaf Mahogany
- Sapele Mahogany
Baobab (color matches vanilla acacia)
Hevea (color matches classic TFC white elm)
Tualang (blue-grey color)
Teak (color matches vanilla jungle wood)

Version 1.18 Features
Seasonal Changes
Trees use different color schemes for the autumn period, creating more diverse and realistic landscapes. Deciduous trees do not generate in tropical regions, corresponding to real natural conditions.
Ancient Logs
Old-growth trees consist of special "ancient" logs and wood blocks that have reduced yield when chopped.
Species and Type Separation
The system allows different tree species to use the same wood color but have different shapes and sometimes bark textures.
New Wood Types
This version features 8 new wood types with 16 tree species, including Eucalyptus, Mahogany, Baobab, Hevea, Tualang, Teak, Cypress, and Fig.
Expansion of Existing Types
As in the later version, the mod adds many new species for standard TFC types, including Ash, Aspen, Birch, Blackwood, Fir, Hickory, Kapok, Maple, Oak, Pine, Rosewood, Sequoia, Spruce, Cedar, and Willow.
