Astemir's Fireflies

This mod implements the long-awaited fireflies that were announced in update 1.19 but never made it into the official game version. Now you can enjoy these beautiful creatures in your Minecraft worlds.

Fireflies spawn exclusively at night and inhabit only two biomes - regular swamps and mangrove swamps. They fly in small groups close to the player, creating a magical atmosphere with their soft glows.

These small insects are completely harmless and deal no damage. Their main purpose is decorative - they perfectly complement natural landscapes and make nighttime walks through swamps more picturesque and memorable.
