Awesome Sheep Swell
Awesome Sheep Swell (ASS) represents an unofficial port of the Chonky Sheep modification, implemented on the Architectury platform. This enhancement is now available for both Fabric and Forge.
This interesting addition brings changes to sheep wool mechanics, making it more realistic and practical. As sheep eat grass, their wool thickens, and when sheared, you'll receive more wool blocks!
The mod adds a special thickness parameter via NBT for sheep. You can create a sheep with custom wool thickness using the command: /summon minecraft:sheep ~ ~ ~ {thickness:20}.
Main Features
- Sheep wool gradually thickens as they feed on grass
- When shearing, the amount of obtained wool increases - an additional 0 to 2 blocks are provided depending on the current wool thickness
- Maximum wool thickness can be configured through settings
- New sheep spawn with random thickness from 1 to 10, with thicker wool being less common
Compatibility
This mod completely reworks the sheep rendering system, so some effects from other modifications that alter sheep via Mixin may display incorrectly. Notably, these changes are overridden by the current mod, but this doesn't cause game crashes.
Known mods whose effects are overridden: Sheep Consistency (Forge) and Sheep Consistency.
