About the Modification

This is a server-side version of the Baby Fat mod adapted for Polymer and Fabric. The modification is distributed under the same LGPLv3 license as the original Forge version.

New World Inhabitants

The mod adds a new mob to the game - Ranchu goldfish! These charming creatures feature diverse color patterns and can reproduce. The game also gains a new decorative plant - Water Lettuce.

Ranchu Fish Features

Ranchu fish spawn in river biomes. They can be caught with a bucket, and their appearance can vary in color patterns and tail size.

By default, almost all naturally spawned ranchu belong to the "wild" variant - muddy brown color without patterns. When bred, new color variants can appear.

There are 101 different color patterns and 3 tail sizes (short, medium, and long), providing 303 possible appearance combinations.

Water Lettuce

Water Lettuce is a new aquatic plant that appears in water bodies of savanna biomes. The plant can be propagated using bone meal, used to create green dye, and applied in ranchu fish breeding.

Breeding Mechanics

Ranchu fish do not reproduce when fed like other mobs. First, they need to be "domesticated" by catching them with a bucket. Then a pair of fish is placed in a water body where the following conditions must be met:

• Water lettuce must be present within ten blocks radius
• There must be fewer than six ranchu fish nearby
• The action occurs at sunrise

When these conditions are maintained, the fish automatically enter love mode and begin to breed.

The generated resource pack has a size of approximately 1.3 MB.
