Backported Flora
This mod requires Forgelin.
A small addition that brings plants from newer Minecraft versions to version 1.12.2, enriching the world of the classic build with fresh flora.
Added Plants
- Lily of the Valley — an elegant white flower found in forest biomes.
- Cornflower — a bright blue flower growing on plains.
- Wither Rose — a dark flower that appears on soul sand in the Nether. Also drops from creatures killed by the Wither. Applies the wither effect on contact — be careful!
- Seagrass — grows in any surface water bodies. Can be one or two blocks high, does not grow without bone meal.
- Kelp — found in oceans. Grows to a random height from 8 to 16 blocks.
- Dried Kelp — a food item that can be eaten quickly. Also can be crafted into blocks used as fuel!
- Kelp Soup (not from the vanilla version) — a delicious soup crafted from six kelp and a bowl. Restores three hunger chunks.
Compatibility with Other Mods
- Quark — from the new flowers, you can create Quark dyes (if this feature is enabled).
- Harvestcraft — kelp is added to the ore dictionary as cropSeaweed, allowing it to be used instead of seaweed.
Own dyes were not added since many mods already include them, and most modpacks have Quark.
Any of these features can be disabled in the configuration file.
