Bad Wither No Cookie - Reloaded
Important Update: Starting from version 1.18.2, the mod works exclusively on the client side and no longer requires installation on the server.
What Does This Mod Do?
This is a lightweight universal solution for disabling annoying global sounds in Minecraft. The mod allows you to mute the following sound effects:
- Wither spawning
- Ender Dragon death
- Thunder and lightning
- Any sounds added by other mods
Especially useful on servers where farms and spawners for these mobs are actively used. The mod can be installed only on the client, even if it's not present on the server.
Compatibility
- 1.18.2 and above: Client-side only
- 1.17.x and below: Works on both client and server
Main Features
- Blocking Wither spawning sounds
- Disabling Ender Dragon death sounds
- Muting thunder and lightning
- Configuring any other sounds through configuration
- For versions 1.16.1+: Additionally blocks Wither death sounds, wandering trader, and llama ambient sounds

- Flexible configuration system
- All listed sound types disabled by default
- Console messages about muted sounds also disabled
