Bear Traps - Bear Traps

This datapack or modification introduces special animal traps - bear traps - into the game. They will become a reliable tool for territory protection or hunting dangerous creatures.

To craft a trap, you'll need a crafting table and simple materials: three iron ingots and one stone button. By assembling these components according to the correct pattern, you'll get an effective trap.

Traps placed on the ground activate when any creature walks over them, including the player themselves. A mob caught in the trap takes damage and cannot move from the spot. The only way to escape is to destroy the trap itself.

After activation, the trap closes. To make it operational again, you need to press the central button of the mechanism.

There is an improved version of the traps - upgraded bear traps. To create them, simply throw a redstone block onto a regular trap. These traps work similarly to the basic ones but only deal damage to hostile mobs, making them safer for neutral creatures and players.
