

BearEdit - Simple World Editor for Minecraft
BearEdit is an innovative data pack for Minecraft version 1.20.2 and above that fundamentally simplifies the building process. Unlike traditional world editors, this pack completely eliminates the need to memorize complex commands or use chat-based interfaces.

Building Tool
The special "Building Tool" item is the main control element of the pack. Available only in creative mode. To get the item, execute the command /function be:give
.
When holding the item, the current status and selected operating mode are displayed above the quick access panel.
Simple Control
The control system is built on three basic steps:
- Mode selection using the F key
- Placing a block in the offhand (if required)
- Defining start and end points by right-clicking on blocks
Control Elements
- Right Click - position selection or action execution
- F Key - switching between tool modes
- Q Key - reset of saved positions and data
- Shift + F - opening the graphical mode selection interface
All control elements are displayed when hovering over the item in the inventory.
Available Modes
Mode | Description |
---|---|
Solid Fill | Fills the area with the selected block, replacing all existing blocks |
Contour Fill | Creates an outer contour of the area with the selected block, leaving the interior untouched |
Block Removal | Clears the area of all blocks, creating air space |
Line | Builds a straight line between start and end points from the selected block |
Replacement | Replaces one type of blocks with another in the selected area |
Settings
