Beautified Chat [Client] (Legacy Fabric)

This modification is the client version of Beautified Chat that allows complete customization of the chat appearance in Minecraft. The mod works exclusively on the client side and doesn't require installation on the server, making it universal for any connection.

Main Features

By default, the standard chat format in Minecraft appears as "Player Name Message". Beautified Chat transforms it into a more convenient format: "Time | Player Name: Message". All formatting elements are fully customizable through the configuration file.

The modification includes a timestamp feature that shows the exact time each message was sent. By default, it uses 24-hour time format, but it can be changed to 12-hour format with AM/PM designations.

Flexible Configuration

Chat message format is configured through the chatMessageFormat parameter. Available variables: %timestamp% (timestamp), %username% (player name), %chatmessage% (message text).

Timestamp format is regulated by the timestampFormat parameter. Format examples: "HH:mm" for 24-hour format (21:00), "hh:mm a" for 12-hour format (9:00 PM).

Color Palette

All chat elements can be colored using various colors from Minecraft's palette:

• chatTimestampColour - timestamp color (default: dark gray)
• chatUsernameColour - player name color (default: dark green)
• chatMessageColour - message text color (default: white)
• chatOtherSymbolsColour - additional symbols color (default: gray)

Available color codes: 0: black, 1: dark_blue, 2: dark_green, 3: dark_aqua, 4: dark_red, 5: dark_purple, 6: gold, 7: gray, 8: dark_gray, 9: blue, 10: green, 11: aqua, 12: red, 13: light_purple, 14: yellow, 15: white.

Compatibility

The mod requires installation of Collective (Fabric) library and Fabric API. There's also a server version called Beautified Chat [Server] that's compatible with the client version. When used together, server settings take priority.

This version is intended for Fabric 1.16 and 1.17. For newer Fabric versions and Forge, the main project version is available.
