Better With Engineering
This addon extends the functionality of the Better With Mods mod by adding interactions with various technological modifications. It provides cross-mod compatibility and rebalances certain features to fit organically within the BWM concept.
Key Features
Compatibility with Immersive Engineering
- Hemp Fix - Immersive Engineering hemp plants now drop corresponding resources from Better With Mods, preventing circumvention of the milling system.
- Mechanical Power - Operation of IE windmills and waterwheels for power transmission through mechanical axles. Video demonstration of the mechanism in action
- Kinetic Dynamos - Axles can power kinetic generators, producing approximately 2 rf/t by default.
- Steel Rebalance - Option to replace standard IE steel with soulforged steel (optional feature) and replacement of the arc furnace's standard cauldron with the BWM crucible.
- Mini Blocks - Addition of siding, molding, and corner elements for various types of treated wood with enhanced crafting recipes.
Integration with Other Mods
- Thermal Expansion - Modification of the induction smelter to use hellfire dust instead of sand for ore melting (solution for HCOre compatibility issues).
- ExNihilo Creatio - Transmission of mechanical power from BWM to ExNihilo devices, including sifters and other equipment.
This addon creates harmonious interaction between technological mods while maintaining the balance and complexity characteristic of Better With Mods.
