Black Iron Ore

Discover a completely new material tier in Minecraft with the addition of Black Iron! This unique ore is mined in the dangerous Basalt Deltas of the Nether or created by alloying regular iron ingots with blackstone and magma cream.

The mod offers a rich selection of building blocks, as well as a full set of tools and armor made from this durable material. Black Iron equipment has double the durability compared to iron counterparts, and each armor piece provides knockback resistance - 0.05 units per piece (which is half of netherite gear's indicators!).

The visual style of the material is based on the palette and textures of the smithing table, developed into an independent unique aesthetic. If the name "Black Iron" doesn't quite match your vision, you can always rename it through a resource pack to Cobalt, Steel, or any other suitable option.

For players interested exclusively in construction possibilities, there's an option to remove tool and armor recipes using modifications like Item Obliterator.

By default, Black Iron is not used for creating the smithing table - this functionality can be added through a datapack.
