Block Swapper

Tired of situations where after building a house you realize that birch would have been better than oak? The mod developer faced this problem multiple times and created a practical solution — Block Swapper. This Forge mod introduces special tools into the game that allow you to replace placed blocks with those in your off-hand while preserving all original properties, including orientation.

Tool Tiers

Two types of swappers are available: copper and diamond. The copper version can replace blocks that require a stone pickaxe to mine, while the diamond version handles blocks at the diamond tool level.

Enchantments and Balance

The diamond swapper can be enhanced with enchantments unavailable to the copper version. In addition to standard "Unbreaking" and "Mending," a unique "Excavating" enchantment has been added that turns blocks into air upon interaction — essentially instant destruction. To balance this powerful ability, the diamond swapper has a high crafting cost, and the "Excavating" enchantment is found only in treasure chests and is incompatible with "Mending."

Vanilla Integration

All models, textures, and mechanics are created with a focus on Minecraft's vanilla style — nothing appears overly powerful or out of place. The design was inspired by the Hammer of Gravity from Minecraft Dungeons. The mod also generates a detailed configuration file for fine-tuning the balance to your preferences.
