Boss Warps

IMPORTANT: In the mod version for 1.20.1, the boss warp point will only teleport the player to their spawn coordinates in the overworld. This issue has been fixed in the version for 1.21/.1, but due to limitations of MCreator and the base game in 1.20.1, a solution has not yet been found.

The Boss Warps mod creates fast travel points at the location where bosses are defeated. After defeating a powerful enemy, a warp point appears in its place, allowing for instant return home.

After victory, it is recommended to move to a safe distance — when creating the warp point, an animation occurs with a small explosion. Activating the point with a right-click will show a special animation, after which all nearby entities will be moved to the spawn point of the player who activated the warp. During the teleportation animation, beams will extend to the warp point, indicating the entities that will be moved.

It is important to remember that warp points do not last forever. They disappear after a certain time (approximately 4000 game ticks, which equals 3 minutes and 20 seconds), with an animation and a small explosion playing before disappearance.

Boss Compatibility

The mod automatically supports bosses using entity tags #forge:bosses, #c:bosses, or #bosswarps:spawnswarp. However, since few mods register their bosses under these tags, the mod provides its own support for numerous bosses in available Minecraft versions by registering them under the tag #bosswarps:spawnswarp or through datapack-based code. This includes the vanilla Elder Guardian (though all three in a monument must be killed before a warp point appears).

The mod does not require installation of all listed mods simultaneously — it automatically adapts to installed mods.

The main criterion for forced boss support is the ability to summon them only in specific locations, not anywhere. For example, the vanilla Wither is not supported since it can be summoned anywhere. However, the mod sometimes includes bosses that spawn under natural conditions, especially if they spawn in a different dimension.

Below are lists of mods and their bosses that are manually supported by the mod. The "Boss Exclusions" section lists bosses that have #forge/c:bosses tags but do not create warp points for balance and anti-cheat purposes.
