Brine - Ocean Depth Exploration Mod

Brine mod fundamentally transforms Minecraft's underwater world, adding numerous new creatures and mechanics that turn deep ocean biomes into exciting adventure locations.

Deep Sea Inhabitants

When sailing into the open ocean on a boat, you'll inevitably encounter Vorthalax - a massive underwater creature that will be your first introduction to the new ecosystem.

Amalgums - these steel spider-like creatures crawl across the ocean floor. There's a theory that they represent the souls of monsters killed by players, which explains their strong hatred towards all humans.

Crab Eels - genetically modified creatures from an ancient underwater civilization that received crab legs. Legends say they were originally created as household pets. These slippery predators hunt in packs and destroy any weak fish approaching deepwater zones.

Claw Jellys - natural enemies of amalgums. Armed with claws resembling arcade machine manipulators, they capture metal spiders and absorb their nutrients through water. Their poisonous gel can be used to create gel bombs that damage opponents.

Restless Sunfish - giant fish immune to claw jelly venom, making them natural predators of the latter. They can camouflage as the night sky thanks to unique scale patterns and release ink fluid to disorient prey. If fed nauseous gel, they grant players the ability to breathe underwater for 2 minutes.

Lance Fish - aggressive relatives of swordfish with sharp noses for attack. These skilled fighters hunt restless sunfish and crab eels, but won't miss an opportunity to attack players too. Their noses can be used to craft the Lurk Lance - a weapon that facilitates movement across the overworld.

Resources and Equipment

Murkite - underwater equivalent of netherite, obtained from ancient plants in underwater ruins. This material is used to create various items, including Pipe 'n chain weapon, Lurk Lance, and Anchor.

Boss Vorthalax

To summon the Atlantic Scourge Vorthalax, you need to wait until he's looking at you and throw an Anchor at him. Defeating him rewards you with the Atlanchor - a legendary weapon, the only surviving artifact from the city he destroyed.

Equip yourself with gel bombs, raise the anchor, and set off to conquer the ocean depths!
