Bronze Mod - New Uses for Copper in Minecraft

Bronze aims to be the most vanilla-friendly bronze addition for modern Minecraft.
Bronze is crafted from copper and tin. Tools and armor made from this material surpass iron but fall short of diamond in terms of characteristics.

Getting Started
Your first task is to gather raw tin and copper. For each Bronze Ingot, you'll need 1 Raw Tin and 3 Raw Copper. Combine 3 Raw Copper with 1 Raw Tin in a crafting table to obtain Bronze Blend, which then needs to be smelted in a furnace to get a Bronze Ingot.
With the obtained bronze ingots, a new level of crafting possibilities opens up for you.
Bronze Armor

Armor Characteristics
Bronze armor occupies an intermediate position between iron and diamond. Most pieces provide the same protection as iron, but with important advantages:
- Bronze armor durability is approximately 16% higher than iron
- All bronze armor pieces possess +1 Armor Toughness
- The bronze chestplate provides one more protection point than the iron one
Crafting bronze armor is similar to creating iron armor, but using bronze ingots instead of iron ingots.
Armor Trimming
Bronze armor fully supports Minecraft's armor trimming system. Combine different colors to create the perfect armor set.
Starting from version 1.0.11+1.21, it became possible to use tin and bronze ingots as trimming materials.

Bronze Weapons

The mod adds two types of weapons: Bronze Sword and Bronze Axe. These weapons have 100 more durability than their vanilla counterparts, with the bronze sword dealing 0.5 more damage.

The Basic Weapons mod adds five other weapon types and has full compatibility with Bronze. Simply install both mods, and the new bronze weapon types will become available for crafting!
Bronze Tools

Tool Characteristics
The mod adds bronze versions of all standard Minecraft tools. These tools have characteristics similar to iron, but with noticeable improvements:
- Bronze tool durability is 350 units instead of iron's 250
- Bronze tools work approximately 14% faster than iron tools
- Bronze tools deal 0.5 more damage than iron tools

New Tool - Sickle
In addition to standard tools, the mod adds a Sickle. This tool will help you manage vegetation in the world. It can harvest fully grown crops on farmland, as well as cut tall and short grass, leaving flowers and bushes untouched.
The Sickle is an ideal tool for builders wanting to clear an area before construction, and for farmers who will appreciate accelerated crop harvesting and automatic replanting. Drops from blocks destroyed with the sickle are preserved, so you'll still get all the seeds from cut grass.
Decorative Blocks

Tin - Not Just for Bronze
Created a full set of bronze weapons, tools, and armor? It's time to use surplus materials to create decorative blocks!
Chiseled tin, cut tin, stairs, slabs, connected tin-framed glass, and many other building blocks await you! These materials will fit perfectly into a temple or modern house, and are also a great way to showcase your wealth! ⛏️

Future Plans

The Bronze mod pursues three main goals:
- Provide copper with a new application area beyond redstone and construction
- Expand mid-game progression in Minecraft survival
- Add simple but useful features that enhance vanilla gameplay
Features in Development
The mod already includes several non-combat blocks and items, such as Bronze Door, Bronze Trapdoor, and Sickle, but there's potential to add more.
Iron ingots have many different uses in vanilla Minecraft. Although I don't want bronze to be as versatile as iron, since this could reduce iron's significance as the dominant mid-game material, I plan to add unique features that complement this material.
Development Principles:
- ❌ This mod will not replace all iron recipes with its own versions, e.g., Bronze Bucket, Bronze Shears, etc.
- ✅ This mod will offer simple new utilities/blocks for bronze that organically fit into the base game, e.g., Sickle
Compatibility with Other Mods
The following mods have built-in compatibility with Bronze. If you discover incompatibilities between Bronze and other mods, please create an issue.
- Alloy Forgery by Wisp Forest
- Continuity by PepperCode1
Tin Ore Generation
Open the section below to see the levels where tin ore generates
-42 and 64, with the highest concentration observed around level 10.
It occurs slightly less frequently than iron ore and only within the specified limits, making it approximately 1.5 times rarer than iron ore (roughly).
The best way to find it is to explore caves above the deepslate layer or conduct excavations at level y = 10
