Calamify - Rocks from Space
This mod introduces three new unique ores into the game — Silver, Star Platinum, and Meteorite — which open up exciting opportunities for creating powerful equipment and world exploration.
Primary Materials
Silver is mined deep underground at iron ore level and above. Mining it requires at least an iron pickaxe. Weapons and armor made from silver have performance metrics that fall between iron and diamond equivalents.
Star Platinum is a much rarer resource that can only be found in meteorites falling from the sky. Each such celestial body contains approximately 25-30 units of this ore. Equipment made from it significantly outperforms diamond but still falls short of netherite.
Meteorites and Their Value
Meteorite is the most valuable and hard-to-obtain material in the mod. To acquire it, you need to smelt meteorite fragments, which are crafted from nine meteorite scraps obtained by breaking meteorite blocks. These celestial visitors appear quite rarely — the nearest one to the spawn point is usually located 1500-2000 blocks away.
Benefits of Meteorite Equipment
Due to its rarity and difficulty of acquisition, equipment made from meteorite surpasses netherite in performance characteristics. It's created by upgrading silver tools and armor in a smithing table.
Phasesabers — a special category of weapon available in this mod instead of the standard meteorite sword. Crafting requires a silver sword, meteorite, and one of selected gemstones that determines the weapon's color and damage:
- Emerald — 7 damage
- Lapis — 7.5 damage
- Redstone — 8 damage
- Prismarine — 8.5 damage
- Amethyst — 9 damage
- Diamond — 9.5 damage
- Echo shard — 10 damage
