Camcord - Vintage VHS Filter for Minecraft

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of old video cassettes with the Camcord mod! This simple yet effective mod applies a stylized VHS filter to the gameplay, creating the feeling of filming with an old camera. While it doesn't replicate the exact workings of real VHS equipment, the result is very atmospheric and nostalgic.

Activating the Effect

To enable the VHS filter during gameplay, simply press the F7 key. If needed, this key combination can be changed in the controls menu.

Compatibility and Requirements

Important: Camcord is specifically designed for Quilt and will not work with Forge or Fabric. Make sure you have the appropriate version of Quilt installed.

Required Dependencies:

• Quilted Fabric API / QSL
• Satin API
• Cloth Config

Please install compatible versions of these mods. If Quilt is not available for your Minecraft version, you can use Fabric versions.

Shader Compatibility

Camcord works perfectly with popular graphics enhancement mods, including Iris, Sodium, Optifine, and other rendering mods.

Effect Settings

The mod offers several parameters for fine-tuning the visual effect:

Fisheye Zoom - Controls camera zoom-out. Higher values result in stronger zoom-out.

Fisheye Scale - Adjusts image scaling. Larger values increase the scale.

Fisheye Pinch - Determines the intensity of the fisheye effect. Higher values create less pronounced distortion.

Near Plane - Near plane for the bokeh (background blur) effect.

Far Plane - Far plane for the bokeh effect.

Boarder - Enables or disables the display of the classic 4:3 border, characteristic of old televisions.
