CBC Ballistics - Precision Artillery for Create Big Cannons
This addon significantly enhances the targeting system of cannons from the Create Big Cannons mod, replacing approximate calculations with precise ballistic computations.
Main Features
Ballistic Calculator
A specialized block that calculates optimal firing parameters to hit targets at any range. It can provide two trajectory options - with low or high projectile flight angles.
For each solution, the calculator displays:
- Pitch - optimal cannon elevation angle
- Charges - required number of propellant charges
- Yaw - horizontal direction
- Precision - estimated hit margin of error in blocks
- Dispersion - maximum projectile deviation at given range
- Travel time - projectile flight duration to target in seconds
Rangefinder
This tool determines exact target coordinates. When aiming at an object and clicking the left mouse button, it records its location. The obtained data can be automatically transferred to the ballistic calculator by simply right-clicking on the block while holding the tool.
Important Compatibility Information
For Create 6.0 users, version cbc_ballistics-1.1.3a is required, while for Create 0.5.1 - version cbc_ballistics-1.1.3b is needed.
