Chameleon (Metamorph add-on)

ATTENTION: Development of this mod is no longer handled by McHorse. Support is now provided by Chryfi. Official updates from Chryfi and other project contributors continue to be released, and work is already underway to port the mod to new versions. If you want to help with official updates or participate in the porting process, join the official McHorse Discord server so we can contact you. The source code is available on GitHub.

Chameleon

Chameleon is a Minecraft mod that serves as an add-on to Metamorph, allowing the import of static and animated models from Blockbench into Metamorph's transformation system. This enables the use of loaded Blockbench models as morphs (meaning you can transform into animated models), actors, decorations, or custom projectiles (via the Blockbuster mod).

This mod works only with Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2.

Starting from version 1.1, Chameleon no longer requires GeckoLib. Mod versions below 1.1 use GeckoLib (3.0.0 or higher, but below version 3.0.0-beta8) — an excellent animation library for Minecraft mods.

Installation

Install Minecraft Forge, download the latest stable version of the jar file for the available Minecraft version. Also install the following mods: McLib and Metamorph. Place them in Minecraft's mods folder and launch the game.

After that, the Chameleon mod should be installed and appear in Minecraft's mods menu. If Chameleon does not appear in the mods list, something went wrong.

Tutorial Videos

If you don't know how to import Blockbench models into Chameleon, check out this playlist. In addition to showcasing features, it includes several videos demonstrating the process of loading Blockbench models.

Bug Reports

If you found a bug or the mod caused a crash in the game, be sure to check the compatibility table and list of incompatible mods. The most common issue users encounter is installing incompatible versions of my mods. Or updating only one mod while using older versions of my other mods.

If the mod versions are correct, you can report a bug or crash to me either through the issue tracker or on my Discord server. Please remember to attach a crash log (use pastebin) and a description of the bug or crash, as well as the steps to reproduce it. Thank you!
