Charmonium

Charmonium is a client-side mod for Minecraft (Fabric) that enriches the game world with atmospheric environmental sound effects. Since this is exclusively a client-side addition, it can be used when connecting to standard Minecraft servers, including Realms.

Mod Features

The mod adds various sound effects that make the Minecraft world more lively and atmospheric:

• Biome ambient sounds - unique environmental soundscapes for each biome that change depending on the time of day (day/night), filling the world with depth and eliminating unpleasant silence
• Cave sounds - sound intensity in caves increases as you go deeper underground, but decreases when lighting up the surrounding area
• Mineshaft sounds - characteristic wooden creaks and crackles in abandoned mineshafts
• Village sounds - background activity sounds in villages during daytime

The volume of ambient sounds can be adjusted using the "Ambient Sounds" slider in the game settings.
