ChatQalc

Transform your game chat into a powerful calculator! This mod integrates the world-renowned Qalculate! utility directly into Minecraft's interface, providing access to multifunctional computations without leaving the game.

Core Functionality

The mod automatically installs and runs a portable version of the interactive qalc calculator when starting Minecraft. All calculations are performed directly in the chat window (activated by pressing T or entering the / symbol).

Convenient Hotkeys

  • NumPadEnter or Ctrl+Enter — send message to calculator instead of general chat
  • Ctrl+Tab — convert the last expression without spaces into computed result (for spaces use backslash \)
  • Shift+Enter — send query to calculator and replace chat field with the last line of result
  • Ctrl+Shift+Enter — similar to Ctrl+Enter, but the result without formatting is broadcast from your name to all players on server
  • Shift+Tab — get autocomplete suggestions

Built-in Features

  • Chat query history for convenient access to previous calculations
  • Graphical settings interface through ModMenu ("Edit" tab)
  • Special Minecraft units and variables: it (items), st (stacks), sb (shulker boxes), pdc, pdcwh, gt (game ticks), iph, hs, ch/chunk/chunks
  • Example: 100it = 1 stack + 36 items

Advanced Qalculate! Capabilities

Thanks to integration with the powerful Qalculate! engine, you get:

  • Access to help system via /help followed by Ctrl+Enter
  • Unit conversion using to operator (examples: 1km to m = 1000 m)
  • Intelligent parsing understanding natural language
  • Ability to disable unnecessary functions, variables, or units
  • Detailed error messages and arbitrary precision calculations
  • Symbolic computation and persistent constants between sessions
  • Gnuplot integration for graph plotting (requires separate installation)
  • Commenting capability using # symbol
