World Generation Features

Bamboo now generates with Podzol in the Cherry Grove biome. Although it appears less frequently than in Bamboo Jungles, there's still plenty to collect.

Cherry trees now bear fruit - cherries sometimes drop from fruitful cherry leaves. Some hanging leaves already contain fruit when the world generates. They can be collected with shears for decoration or have a chance to drop cherries.

Cherry trees can now generate with three branches instead of two, making them more branched and realistic. Rocks also appear in Cherry Groves, adding natural diversity.

New Items

Cherries can be used to brew Potions of Love. When applied to two animals, they immediately breed and have a chance to breed again during the potion's effect. These potions are brewed from Potions of Weakness, so they weaken entities more effectively than regular weakness potions.

Cherries are edible. When eaten, the player receives two cherry pits that can be thrown as projectiles. If the inventory is full, the character automatically spits out the pits. When hitting hostile entities, they deal four times more damage, and when landing on a grass block, they plant a cherry sapling.

Golden Cherries can be crafted from cherries using a crafting table: three gold ingots in the top row, three cherries in the middle row, and three more ingots in the bottom row. They are more filling than regular cherries and give two golden pits when eaten. Golden pits deal more damage than regular ones.

New Blocks

Paper Lanterns are a new light source crafted from one regular lantern in the center surrounded by eight paper sheets. They can be placed on blocks or hung underneath them. When the block above is broken, the lantern falls instead of breaking.

Canvases are created with an ingredient in the center surrounded by four paper sheets. Three types of canvas ingredients are available: empty center, bamboo, and cherry sapling. Applying a canvas changes the paper lantern's appearance - for example, the cherry canvas adds a sapling image. The empty canvas removes all changes. More canvas types are planned for the future, including possible archaeology finds.
