Cherished Items
The Cherished Items mod significantly alters the mechanics of dropped item disappearance in Minecraft, providing players with extended customization options through a configuration file.
Key features of the mod include:
- Renamed items receive additional existence time - 5 minutes longer than the standard period
- Enchanted items also persist for 5 minutes longer than usual, with this bonus stacking with the renaming bonus
- Items tagged with cherisheditems:shortened_despawn_time disappear in just 1 minute
- Objects with the cherisheditems:extended_despawn_time tag remain in the world for a full 10 minutes
- The base duration of item existence can be changed through configuration settings
All parameters are configured through the cherisheditems.json file in the game's configuration folder.
