Chess Go - Board Games in Minecraft
This mod allows you to enjoy classic board games directly in the Minecraft world. Using JEI, you can view all available crafting recipes.
Main Mod Elements
The mod adds various items and blocks for organizing gameplay:
- Game tables for chess and go made from various materials
- Special containers for storing game pieces and stones
- Sprays for changing the color of glass elements
- Prototypes - basic materials for creating tables and containers
- Stone bags that can be used to fill containers or obtain stones
- Game stones for go matches
Classic Chess (added in version 2.0)
Update 2.0 introduced the ability to play traditional chess with a full set of pieces:
- Tables for classic chess
- Chess pieces (king, queen, rook, bishop, knight, pawn)
- Complete chess sets
Graphics Settings
You can configure the display quality of game elements through client settings:
For stones, 4 detail levels are available (from 0 to 3):
- Level 0: 1 cube per stone
- Level 1: 15 cubes per stone
- Level 2: 30 cubes per stone
- Level 3: 45 cubes per stone
For chess pieces, 3 quality levels are also provided (from 0 to 2). Using lower settings can significantly improve performance and FPS.
Crafting Process
To create game sets, you first need to craft an empty stone bag or an empty chess set. Then hold it in your main hand, with ingredients in your off-hand, and right-click to merge.
