Chewy Cheeses
Chewy Cheeses is an extension for Brewin and Chewin that introduces an elaborate fermentation and aging process for cheeses from other modifications, giving them new mechanics.
Each cheese type now receives a complete set of original elements: a whole cheese wheel, an unripe cheese wheel, placement models, and special cheese fluid, ensuring full integration into gameplay.
Compatibility with Rats Mod
Chewy Cheeses adds support for various cheese types from the Rats modification:
- Basic cheese and blue cheese now utilize the new fermentation system
- Special Nether cheese is also integrated into the system
- To avoid confusion, the original Rats cheese has been renamed to Rat Leicester Cheese - an equivalent of red Leicester cheese but with a rat-like twist
- Added recipes for dividing full cheese blocks into two separate wheels
- Making fermented cheese now requires using contaminated food, reflecting rats' preference for such aromas
Important note: To avoid recipe conflicts, it is recommended to disable cheese creation in the original Rats mod settings.
Integration with Jaden's Nether Expansion
Chewy Cheeses beautifully integrates the unique Glow Cheese from Jaden's Nether Expansion:
- Glowing cheese now utilizes the full fermentation and aging process
- A mature cheese wheel emits the maximum light level of 15
- An unripe cheese wheel provides a lighting level of 10
