Chiseled Enchanting - Enhanced Enchanting Capabilities
This mod opens up new horizons in Minecraft's enchanting system by allowing the use of enchanted books in chiseled bookshelves around an enchanting table. Books placed in such shelves transfer their enchantments to the enchanting table, significantly expanding its capabilities.
Thanks to this mechanic, you'll be able to obtain rare enchantments like Swift Sneak, Mending, Wind Burst, and Soul Speed directly from the enchanting table without spending time on repeated searches in structures or trading with villagers to get Mending.
You'll still need to find the initial book in structures, but after that, you can use its enchantments an unlimited number of times. This is similar to the armor trim system, but applied to enchantments.
How It Works in Practice
Imagine you have a Swift Sneak III book found in an ancient city:

You need to enchant two pairs of leggings: one without Thorns and one with Thorns. Normally, you would have to search for a second ancient city, but with this mod, you simply place the book in a chiseled bookshelf near the enchanting table:

After adding the book to the shelf, the corresponding enchantment may appear in the list of available options on the enchanting table if the item is suitable for it:

As seen in the example, I obtained Swift Sneak III. The appearance of the enchantment is not 100% guaranteed (the probability can be configured based on the number of books).
The maximum enchantment level you can obtain corresponds to the maximum level of books placed for that enchantment.
Regular Bookshelves
It's important to note that regular bookshelves are still necessary since chiseled bookshelves do not provide enchanting power. This can be changed by adding chiseled bookshelves to the #minecraft:enchantment_power_provider tag. If you do this, the number of books required to provide power can be configured in the configuration file config/chiseledenchanting.json5 in your .minecraft folder (or server's root directory).
