Cluckifer (Quilt/Fabric/NeoForge)
Cluckifer is a reworked version of Fleecifer that fundamentally changes the behavior of familiar chickens in the game. Instead of harmless creatures that nod their heads, they turn into aggressive opponents that attack the player when approached.
Installation and Compatibility
The mod can be installed on any of the popular mod loaders:
- Quilt Loader (recommended option)
- Fabric Loader with Fabric API installed
- NeoForge - modern version of Forge
Frequently Asked Questions
Compatibility with other mods When using other mods that affect chicken behavior, unexpected results and conflicts are possible. Cluckifer has not been tested in such combinations.
Use in projects The mod can be freely included in modpacks and used when creating videos without any restrictions.
Support for older versions The author does not plan to adapt the mod for outdated versions of Minecraft, as the project was created exclusively for entertainment. However, other developers can make a port themselves provided they comply with the LGPL-3.0-or-later license.
Changing the appearance
The chickens' special look is implemented through separate textures located at cluckifer:textures/entity/chicken/chicken_eyes.png and cluckifer:textures/entity/chicken/chicken_eyes_emissive.png. They can be replaced with empty files through a resource pack if the glowing eyes are too scary.
