Coloured Tooltips - Tooltip Color Customization

The Coloured Tooltips mod provides the ability to completely change the default color scheme of pop-up tooltips in the game. Configuration is done through a config file: config/colouredtooltips.cfg in version 1.12.2 and config/colouredtooltips-client.toml in versions 1.13 and above.

The system uses the ARGB color format in hexadecimal representation. Unlike regular RGB, this format includes two additional characters at the beginning that control the element's transparency. If you're not familiar with hexadecimal color codes, it's recommended to use an online color palette to select the desired shade.

The changes affect all tooltips that use Forge's standard rendering system. This includes item pop-up descriptions, creative mode tab names, and other interface elements.
