Colytra (Fabric 1.16.1 - 1.19.2)

Colytra is a modification that allows you to combine elytras with any chestplates. Now you can enjoy the benefits of flight without giving up the stylish armor you prefer.

Requires Fabric API to function.

How to Attach an Elytra

To combine an elytra with a chestplate, simply place both items in the crafting grid. The result will be a chestplate with a tooltip indicating that an elytra has been attached.

Operation Modes

The modification offers three different modes that can be selected in the settings:

• Normal Mode: The chestplate and elytra remain separate items. Each retains its own enchantments, and flight consumes the elytra's durability as usual. The elytra can be repaired on an anvil using phantom membrane, taking into account the appropriate prior work penalties. Item separation is possible by placing the colytra back into the crafting grid.

• Unity Mode: The chestplate and elytra fuse into a single entity. All enchantments from the elytra are transferred to the chestplate. Flight consumes the chestplate's durability/energy. Item separation is not possible.

• Perfect Mode: Similar to Unity mode, but with one important difference - flight does not consume any durability/energy.
