The main innovation is the Blazing Fishing Rod, specifically designed for extreme fishing in lava lakes. It has increased durability and allows you to catch unusual fish species, various items, and even valuable treasures. The crafting recipe is similar to a regular fishing rod, but sticks are replaced with blaze rods and magma cream is added.

Inhabitants of the Nether

Two unique fish await you in the lava pools of the Nether. The Combustive Cod has an explosive nature - when thrown, it detonates upon impact with a surface. Be careful when handling this hot catch!

But not all is lost for gourmets! If you throw the combustive cod into water, it instantly cools down and turns into an edible version.

The Searing Swordfish is the second unique inhabitant of lava reservoirs. Although it cannot be eaten, you can create a powerful weapon from it by combining it with a blaze rod. The resulting sword has fiery properties but cannot be enchanted or repaired - after all, it's still a fish!

Other Finds

Bone Fish can be found both in the Nether and in the regular world. Naturally, it cannot be eaten, but it works great for taming wolves and ocelots. You can also get more bone meal from it than from regular bones.

What You Can Catch

The loot depends on your location. In the regular world, you'll mainly find already cooked fish (very mysterious!), while in the Nether - unique local inhabitants. As with regular fishing, there's a chance to find various junk and real treasures. Discover a completely new world of underwater hunting!
