Compost Bag

This utility item allows you to process organic materials while on the move, without the need to place stationary composters!

Usage in Interface

When in the inventory interface, simply right-click the bag to process items, add bone meal, or extract it. Holding the button speeds up the process! You can also drag the bag with the cursor and click on slots for bulk item processing, bone meal collection, or removal.

World Application

In the game world, the bag functions similarly to bone meal - accelerating the growth of crops, saplings, grass, and other vegetation. Compatible with dispensers.

Updating to Versions 1.20.5+

When updating to versions 1.20.5 or 1.21, all NBT data from old worlds is preserved in the custom_data component. Compost Bag now uses new data components: compostbag:max_bonemeal_count, compostbag:bonemeal_count, compostbag:max_compost_level, and compostbag:compost_level. To restore old bags, world editing through an NBT editor and manual data conversion is required. Configuration files have been replaced by the compostbag:max_bonemeal_count component. On the mod's GitHub page, in the ExtraDatapacks folder, a standard datapack is available for doubling the maximum capacity. You can create your own datapack with desired capacity and fill level parameters for different types of compost bags.
