Consistepcy transforms Minecraft's core movement mechanics in a straightforward way. The main change eliminates conventional sprinting on land while keeping swimming in water and boosting creative flight speed unchanged.

To balance this change, the mod significantly increases your regular walking speed—both forward and sideways movement. These new speeds are carefully calibrated to match, or even slightly exceed, the pace of normal sprinting in vanilla Minecraft. Backward movement remains completely unaffected.
