Copper Golem for Fabric

Adds copper golems to Minecraft - charming mechanical creatures that bring life to your world! This mod is designed for Fabric version 1.18, but for players on 1.17, previous download versions are also available.

Mod Features

Copper Golems - an experimental implementation based on Mojang's announcement at Minecraft Live 2021. These mechanical helpers are created from a copper block at the bottom, a carved pumpkin in the middle, and a lightning rod on top. In creative mode, a spawn egg is available.

Golem Behavior: Copper golems actively seek and press all types of buttons randomly, making them ideal for creating random mechanisms and activators.

Oxidation System: Like real copper, golems gradually oxidize over time. You can wax them to stop this process, or use an axe to remove wax and reduce the oxidation level.

Social Behavior: Similar to iron golems, copper counterparts freely move around the area, look around, and watch players. Interestingly, they also show interest in their larger "older brothers" - iron golems.

Copper Buttons

The mod also includes various copper buttons with waxed and regular variants, as well as all oxidation stages: normal, exposed, weathered, and oxidized.

Oxidation Mechanics: Buttons oxidize exactly like copper blocks in vanilla game.

Signal Strength: Redstone signal power depends on the button's oxidation level and is not affected by wax coating:

  • Normal: 15
  • Exposed: 12
  • Weathered: 9
  • Oxidized: 6

Technical Details

Requires fabric-api version 0.43.1 or higher. The included resource pack should be force-enabled for proper texture display.

Some features are still being refined, and we'd be happy to hear your feedback and suggestions!
