Crash Assistant
The Crash Assistant mod provides a convenient graphical interface that automatically appears after Minecraft crashes. It instantly displays all relevant game logs, launcher logs, crash reports, and hs_err files, offering a simple solution for uploading them, copying links, and performing other actions to simplify debugging and problem-solving.
Main Features
Automatic Log Analysis
The system analyzes logs for many known crash causes. When a common issue is detected, a dialog box appears with a problem description and detailed troubleshooting guide.
Supported Analysis Types:
- hs_err (JVM Crashes): AMD, Nvidia, Intel driver issues, memory shortages, Java version conflicts
- Logs and Crash Reports: Detection of incompatible mods, duplicate files, dependency problems
- Windows Event Logs: Identification of cases where the game was forcibly terminated by the system
- Codex Logs Analyzer Integration: Additional analysis through mclo.gs service with clear instructions
Useful Diagnostic Tools
Includes a set of powerful analysis tools accessible through the interface menu:
- Compatibility checking for Create and Epic Fight addons
- Detection of mods created in MCreator
- Class and package search in installed mods
- Dependency analysis for debugging NoClassDefFoundError errors
Automatic Problem Detection
The system checks for integrated GPU usage instead of dedicated graphics and offers automatic fixing. Also detects Intel 13th/14th generation CPUs with known stability issues and provides recommendations.
User Convenience
Drag&drop support allows easy movement of log files. With one click, you can upload all available logs and get a ready-to-share link. For modpack creators, tracking changes in the mod list is available.
Technical Features
The mod operates as a client application and is inactive on servers. Loads early as Coremod (Forge) or LanguageAdapter (Fabric/Quilt), allowing it to intercept even startup crashes.
Configuration and Localization
Fully customizable - you can enable/disable any features, change button and label texts. Supports multiple languages including Russian, English, German, Chinese, Spanish, and Italian.
Commands and Additional Features
Commands available for testing crashes with various parameters, plus a system for marking problematic mods with automatic user notifications about incompatibilities.
Privacy
Logs are uploaded only when explicitly clicking the "Upload" button and are sent directly to the mclo.gs service, which automatically removes confidential data. Crash Assistant has no servers of its own and does not receive copies of your logs.
