The Croptopia mod dramatically expands farming possibilities in Minecraft by adding to the game:

• 58 different agricultural crops that can be grown on farmland
• 26 types of fruit trees with unique fruits
• Over 250 diverse dishes and food items

Farmer's Encyclopedia

For convenient mastery of all recipes, Croptopia includes a detailed guide. To use the knowledge book, you'll need to install the Patchouli mod (versions available for both Fabric and Forge). The book itself can be crafted by combining three any crops from Croptopia with a regular vanilla book.

Harvest Collection

The method of obtaining seeds and saplings depends on the Minecraft version:

Versions 1.16 and 1.17: Seeds can be found by breaking tall grass and ferns in plains, swamp, savanna, forest, and taiga biomes. Depending on configuration settings, using a hoe may be required.

Versions 1.18 and above: Crops now appear in the wild as ready plants. Collecting seeds from grass is no longer available.

Mature crops are harvested by simply right-clicking. Fruits from trees are collected in the same way. To obtain saplings, you need to collect two tree fruits and combine them in a crafting table.

Technical Requirements

Starting from version 3.0.0, Croptopia requires the Epherolib library to function. Without it, the mod will not work.
