CubicChunks
The CubicChunks mod fundamentally changes the world generation principle in Minecraft by removing height and depth limitations. Instead of traditional chunks with fixed height, it uses dynamic loading of vertical world sections, similar to how standard Minecraft works in the horizontal direction.
Important Compatibility Information
CRITICAL WARNING: When used together with JEID, the mod may irreversibly damage your world when exceeding certain ID limits! Also, CubicChunks is incompatible with many other mods, and most compatibility issues cannot be fixed without changes to the mods themselves.
Operation Features
The mod allows creating worlds with practically no vertical limitations. When first loading a new world, the height limit of 256 blocks may persist—this is a known bug that fixes itself after reloading the world.
Compatibility with Other Mods
Working Mods:

Problematic or Incompatible:
- WorldEdit (partially works in range 0-256)
- GalactiCraft (has serious bugs)
- Sponge/SpongeForge/Bukkit/Spigot
- MCEdit
- JEID (may damage world)
World Configuration
To create a world with CubicChunks, you need to activate the corresponding option in the "More World Options" menu. For CubicWorldGen world types, this setting is enabled automatically.
On servers, you need to set the forceCubicChunks parameter to true in the cubicchunks.cfg configuration file.
