Damp Soil - Realistic Farming in Minecraft
Damp Soil modification is a Forge port of the Moisturization mod by RandomMcSomethin, which fundamentally changes the approach to agriculture in the game.
If you want to make farming more challenging and realistic, this modification is exactly what you need! It completely reworks the mechanics of farmland hydration, plant growth speed, and fertilizer efficiency.
Main Features
By default, the mod limits farmland hydration to only adjacent water blocks (including diagonal directions). Classic village-style farms will continue to work, but larger plantations will require additional irrigation.
Sprinkler System
The mod adds special sprinklers - redstone devices that, when activated, spray water droplets, hydrating surrounding farmland (and any random passersby nearby!). The sprinklers' range is configurable in the mod's configuration file. They can even be installed on the ceiling facing downward!
