Data Attributes

Data Attributes is a Minecraft modification that fundamentally changes the approach to working with entity characteristics. This project was initially created for version 1.17.1 on the Fabric platform and offers two key functions.

Main Features

The mod completely reworks the standard entity attribute system, making it more flexible and dynamic. It implements the concept of dependent characteristics, which is widely used in many other games but was missing in original Minecraft.

Additionally, the mod provides access to entity attribute management through datapacks. This opens up enormous possibilities for server creators and pack makers to fine-tune all aspects of the characteristic system without the need to write custom code.

Development History

Originally, Data Attributes functionality was part of the PlayerEx mod, but in the version for 1.16.5, the system was implemented suboptimally and contained many errors. The developers decided to separate this functionality into an independent project to use it in their other mods, creating a more stable and standalone implementation.

Usage Features

It's important to understand that the mod itself doesn't add any new game content. Its main purpose is to provide tools for configuring existing characteristics through datapacks. It's recommended to review the documentation before use.

Compatibility

Data Attributes is incompatible with AttributeFix, as both mods provide similar functionality.
