Decorative Winter - Winter Decor for Minecraft
The Decorative Winter mod offers various decorative elements with winter and Christmas themes that will help create a cozy atmosphere in your Minecraft world. Some blocks are created based on the popular Decorative Blocks mod.
This project was specifically developed for MMD WinterJam 2020 and is available for versions 1.16.2-1.16.5 and 1.18. Requires the installed Decorative Blocks mod to work.
Decorative Blocks
The mod adds the following elements:
- Christmas wreath that can be crafted from sweet berries
- Festive garlands
- Snowy fences and benches that can be covered with snow
- Dry grass blocks and tall dry grass/fern
- Dry grass and fern - throw a snowball at them to get the snowy version
- Wooden branches
- Fluid snow - shear powder snow to turn it into a loose mass
Special Items
Frosty wand - a unique tool that allows:
- Transforming regular fences and benches into snowy versions
- Converting all grass and vegetation in the area into dry variants
Recipes and Mechanics
The mod includes various ways to create and transform blocks:
- Smelt grass, vegetation, and leaves in a furnace to get dry versions and branches
- Use snow blocks on fences, benches, grass, and vegetation to create snow-covered versions
- Apply a shovel to snow-covered blocks to remove the snow coating
