Deeper and Darker

A modification for Minecraft 1.12.2 that allows complete customization of the Deep Dark dimension from Extra Utilities.

Required Dependencies

Requires installation of Extra Utilities 2 and MixinBooter.

How It Works

Using the capabilities of the Mixins system, the mod replaces the standard IChunkProvider of the Deep Dark dimension (the class responsible for block placement and world generation) with its own version.

Configuration Options

The mod provides extensive customization options for various dimension parameters:

• Floor and ceiling height
• Bedrock thickness and roughness
• Surface and ceiling thickness and relief
• Block replacement for bedrock floor, ground, surface, spires, ceiling surface, ceiling and bedrock ceiling, as well as water/lava in lakes
• Spire width (height automatically adjusts based on ground and ceiling height)
• Maximum stalactite height
• Generation of water and lava lakes
• Creation of structures and dungeons
• Formation of caves and canyons

Limitations

• Biome configuration is not available - recommended to use JustEnoughDimension to override BiomeProvider
• Cannot lift the ban on dirt, gravel, diorite, andesite and granite generation - mods like CoFH World are suitable for this
